Purpose: Speedsolving

Tudor is a 3x3 speedsolving method proposed and developed by Joseph Tudor. It is a method that combines blockbuilding techniques with the corner and edge solving steps of corners first methods.

Steps

  1. 2x2x3: Build a 2x2x3 block on the left.
  2. Corners: Solve the six remaining corners.
  3. Edges: Solve the seven remaining edges.

Pros

  • Algorithm-based after the 2x2x3 block, depending on the chosen edge solving variant. This should allow for a high TPS.
  • No rotation required.
  • Low movecount.

Cons

  • Potentially high algorithm count at the method's most optimized level.
  • Difficult to plan the 2x2x3 block in inspection.
