Ryan Heise is an Australian speedcuber from Sydney, Australia. He has proposed several methods for the 3x3, including the Heise Method for speedsolving and Human Thistlethwaite. He also developed the first cubing simulator, now available at hi-games.net, that can be used with the keyboard alone.
