Phil Yu (also known as a small kitten or variations thereof) is an Asian-American speedcuber from Plainsboro, New Jersey. Since 2010, he has been among the fastest one-handed cubers in the world, and the fastest to use the ZZ method (together with the VH system). He has posted several record-shattering home Ao5 videos at several points in the OH WR progression. He set the average North American Record of 13.46 at Saint Joseph's College Summer 2012.
Phil is currently a second year student at Georgetown Law in the class of 2015. In 2011, he and fellow NYU student cuber James Chang opened an online cube store, TheCubicle.us.
Trivia
- a small kitten has small hands, with the right hand being a centimeter smaller than the left.
- He is one of the few cubers to have two-handed rather than one-handed amnesia.
