Guojia is the very first Chinese DIY brand on the market. It was first presented in around 2004 and have been producing various cube models. It is a very innovative brand and invented various designs that greatly improved the speedcubes' performance. Some significant designs are placing tracks on the cubies to reduce turning friction, reduced inner radius of the mechanism to improve tolerance, and even surface area on the sides of edge pieces(most 3x3 cubes have edge pieces with a hollow side)

The Type A speedcubes can be classified into two categories:

Regular Type A: is usually the guinea pigs that the designers tests the new design. Some significant features include tracks to reduce friction, and lightweight cubicles.

Sealed Type A: usually referred as "NEW" Type A, "Type A (roman numeral)-f", or "Type A (roman numeral)-SV". These speedcubes aims at even friction between cubies and full contacting surface area on the pieces.
