Gan 356 xs is a magnetic speedcube created by a speedcubing company called Gan. It was released in 2019. It's the direct successor of Gan 356 x, another speedcube. It comes in both stickerless and stickered. It's called "356" xs because it's a 3X3 Rubik's cube (from there the 3 of"356" comes from). It's 56 millimetres long (from there the 56 of "356"comes from). It's one of the most costliest speedcubes available on the market. It's considered one of the best Rubik's cube and is used by many speedcubers including Feliks Zemdegs. He even used that cube to set the world record 3X3 Rubik's cube average.

Specifications

The Gan 356 xs is one of the lightest speedcubes, weighing at just 67 grams for stickered and 68 grams for stickerless. It's 56 millimetres long on all sides. It features a black internal and a plastic core. This plastic core helps in weight reduction. It also has a honeycomb design on its internals for even spreading of lubricants applied to make the cube smooth.

Magnets and tensioning system

The magnets present on the cube can be adjusted easily by sliding them to one position from another. There are three magnet settings-strong, medium and low. These magnets help in increasing the stability of the cube and prevent overshooting during turns. The tensioning system allows the cube to have 6 different elasticity settings on each nut. There are 2 types of nuts, the fluorescent blue nut and the dark blue nut. The two different nuts allows the cube to have different central travel distances according to the nut placed on the cube.
