History

FreeFOP was proposed and posted on the SpeedSolving Forums by Thom Barlow on 18 June 2010. The person who created the term "FreeFOP" was Michael Gottlieb while Barlow spoke about the method in a chatroom on StrangePuzzle.com (now offline).

Steps

  1. Solve the first two layers F2L however you wish.
  2. Solve OLL
  3. Solve PLL
