An event is a type of puzzle and/or way of solving the said puzzle that is practiced and competed between many speedsolvers. The term is generally used for official competition events however it can be applied to unofficial ones as well.
If an event is specified as unofficial, they can be any puzzle, not just any twisty puzzle, that is not currently under the WCA. Some unofficial puzzles include the 15 puzzle, Mirror Blocks, etc.
List of Current Official WCA Events
The WCA currently defines the following as official events which can be held in official competitions:

- 4x4x4 Cube
- 5x5x5 Cube

- 3x3x3 With Feet
