Products

2x2

DianSheng 2x2 Cube

Only sold in white. Used a screw-spring mechanism. These cubes were often used by beginners because of its ability not to overshoot or lockup as much as the Eastsheen. The screw/spring structure provided good corner cutting and stability.

Diansheng 2x2x2

Diansheng 2x2 M

A recent release from DianSheng. This is a magnetized 2x2 that isn't all that special, with cubes like the QiYi MS existing.

DianSheng Solar S2M 2x2

The latest flagship 2x2 release from DianSheng.

3x3x3 Cube "Type-E" (Released c. 2008)

Ratings for Type-E
Based on 6 ratings
Smoothness/Speed: 9.25
Lockup Resistance: 5.5
Cutting Corners: 5.83
Pop Resistance: 9.33
Quietness: 5.0
Reliability: 8.25
Weight: 84g
Overall: 7.33

Type E cubes are known as Diansheng (or DS) cubes. Out of the box they were quite bad, but after lubing with silicone they became much better. One problem was that they were somewhat prone to locking up, due to the very cubic cubies. There are two types of DS cubes, no.222 and no.333. Rather than stickers, the Diansheng no.333 has the colors painted onto the sides of the cube. The color scheme is a mirrored version of the Western color scheme. The no.222 has regular stickers. Both of the painted and stickered types have different cubies. Because of their very light weight, and very loose, smooth turning; DS 3x3x3's were often used in One-Handed cubing.

45mm cube, larger than the Maru Mini, but smaller than the Mini-C.

Mini DS

DianSheng Stickerless 3x3

A very bad 3x3 from when Diansheng wasn't a reputable cube company. YouTuber Cubey Time used this puzzle for his very popular "Will It Lube?" series.

DianSheng 3x3 M

A recent release from DianSheng. This a magnetized 3x3 that, much like its 2x2 counterpart, isn't all that great with cubes like the MoYu RS3M competing with the likes of GAN puzzles. This puzzle also has weird center caps that are reminiscent of the Rubik's first "speed cube'.

DianSheng Solar S3M 3x3

The latest flagship release from DianSheng. Very similar to the GAN 356X, with a scale pattern on the cubes and black internals with stickerless caps. This puzzle has interchangeable center caps that are the same as the DianSheng 3x3 M.

4x4

DianSheng 4x4

Only sold in stickerless. This is hands down one of the worst 4x4s of all time, rivaling the YJ ShenSu 4x4 and the original Rubik's Revenge. Features of this puzzle include, but aren't limited to:

  • A horrible ball mechanism
  • Virtually no corner cutting
  • Lock-ups
  • POPS

DianSheng 4x4 M

A newer 4x4 from DianSheng, but, like most budget 4x4s, suck.

5x5

DianSheng 5x5

Only sold in stickerless. Much like its younger brother, the 4x4, it's absolutely awful. You're better off using an old school Rubik's 5x5.

DianSheng 5x5 M

A newer 5x5 from DianSheng, but the Meilong 5x5 M is recommended over it.

6x6

DianSheng 6x6 M

DianShengs first and only 6x6 release at the moment. With the MGC 6x6 existing, there's no point in getting this one. It's not bad per se, but it's not really good either.

7x7

DianSheng 7x7 M

DianShengs first and only 7x7 release at the moment. It's a solid budget option, but the YuFu 7x7 V2 M is recommended over it.

8x8+

DianSheng 8x8 M

This is the very first mass produced 8x8 to be magnetized and is by far the best 8x8 on the market. This puzzle can be bought with either black or primary internals.

DianSheng 9x9 M

This is the very first mass produced 9x9 to be magnetized and is by far the best 9x9 on the market. This puzzle can be bought with either black or primary internals.

DianSheng 10x10 M

This is the very first mass produced 10x10 to be magnetized and is by far the best 10x10 on the market. This puzzle can be bought with either black or primary internals.

DianSheng 11x11 M

This is the very first mass produced 11x11 to be magnetized and is by far the best 11x11 on the market. This puzzle can be bought with either black or primary internals.

There has also been leaked images of a DianSheng 12x12 and 13x13, although the release date of these puzzles are currently unknown.
