A dedge; double edge, is a 1x2 block of two edges on a 4x4x4 cube. Normally this is newer anything but the two edges that has got the same colour on their stickers. A dedge acts as it was a single edge on a 3x3x3 cube and can get solved as that, see Reduction Method.
On a 5x5x5 cube the same thing is a tredge and is a 1x3 block of three edges having the same colours and on a 6x6x6 cube it is a... Hmmm, there is no name for it yet I think, maybe "quadedge" =)
