When it's time to clean

It will be time to clean your cube and/or other puzzle when the mechanism has a grinding feel or is tougher to move than before. It is also time to clean if you take a piece out and it is dusty. Sooner or later you will know the thime of a big cleaning. (It is not necessary to clean your cube every time befor lubing it!)

How to clean

The best way to clean is to take your puzzle all apart and put it in the dish washer. It is recommended that you don't let it dry in there, or the stickers/tiles will fall off due to the hot air. Another way to clean it is filling a bowl with water and dish soap and letting the puzzle sit in it over night. You may also clean it with a cloth, brush and soap water. But never wash the core. The water could get to the springs and rust them, eventually breaking your cube. Make sure to get all the water out of the pieces (in the gaps/holes/spaces) or it could get into the core.
