Corner Permutation
From Speedsolving.com Wiki
(Redirected from CP)
The permutation of just the corners of a puzzle. In the most popular 3x3 methods there is typically a step to permute last layer corners. PLL methods typically involve permuting last layer corners that have already been oriented, preserving their orientation and that of last layer edge pieces. An alternative strategy, used for example in Greg Brown's method (How to Solve Rubik's Magic Cube: A Fully Illustrated and Non-Mathematical Approach, Maskew Miller, 1981) first permutes last layer corners (preserving only last layer edge orientation) before orienting them, thus taking advantage of the fact that some typical OCLL algorithms actually preserve the permutation of last layer corners while orienting them.
