Bob Burton (Robert Burton Jr.) is an American cuber from Kearny, New Jersey. He is best known for organizing and delegating for a number of WCA competitions, including many of the first competitions on the East Coast in 2005-2006. Bob has been actively involved in the organization of every US Nationals since 2007. He is one of a handful of the most important organization leaders in the US.
In 2005/6 he held world records in Magic and Master Magic. As a competition organizer, he was said to have been influential in ensuring that this was a WCA event. At the Rubik's World Championship 2005 in Florida, he actually gained a world title in the "Rubik's Magic One-handed" beating two other competitors, although the title is no longer officially recognised.
At Newark Head-to-Head 2011, Bob set the world record for the most number of competitions at 75, overtaking Lars Vandenbergh.
Trivia
- At US Nationals 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia, Bob was almost robbed with (presumably) an iPhone.
