|
Akimoto is a columns first direct solving method for the 4x4x4 cube, proposed by Masayuki Akimoto. It is somewhat similar to K4 and Cage.
Overview
- Create 4 F3L pairs in a similar way to PCMS
- Solve the U layer apart from the UF dedge
- Finish centres (similar to the cage method though more flexibility is allowed thanks to the unsolved D-layer)
- Solve the UF dedge
- Solve the D layer (this step is the same as in K4)
- Solve the corners
- Solve the dedges
