Online contests
From Speedsolving.com Wiki
Online contests are unofficial contest held by online result submissions from the competitors. They have traditionally been called 'contests' rather than 'competitions.'
Especially before the formation of the WCA in 2004 and through around 2006, these online contests attracted many of the world's top cubers at the time and played an important role in pushing maintaining the competitive level within the speedcubing community. Today, there are much fewer top cubers who compete in online contests.
