PORT
PORT, pairs + Ortega, is an easy to learn method for cubes larger than 2x2x2. It is exactly the same method as the Ortega Method used for CF and 2x2x2. Yhe difference is that PORT preserves the orientation of the F2L pairs rather than only the first layer corners during orientation of the last layer, it does not solve corners first but columns first. Pairs-Ortega, short it is PORT!
PORT is recommended to beginners because you do not need many algorithms, it is seven to orient LL corners and only five to permute both layers PBL. To solve the rest of the cube after the PORT is done E35 is recommended. It is in it's simplest form 9 (EO5) + 4 (EPLL) algorithms amkeing a total for 25 for a full intermediate method.
PORT can be used as a stepping stone for PEG.
The algorithms needed for PORT are listed at the CxLL pages, under the grey cases having single letter names found in the upper and left border of the navigator.
Orientations: U, T, L, S, -S, Pi, H (under PORT)
Permutations: R, D (under PEG 0,1,2)
If no algorithm is given for the method then use the CMLL, it thre is no CMLL then use CLL and if threre is no CLL then use COLL (sometimes the COLL is the shortest alternative, like A-PLL for the PEG 2 R case).
