Vandenbergh is the most commonly used Square-1 method and has been used to set most of the Square-1 world records.

Description of method

  1. Turn the puzzle into a cube shape
  2. Bring the corners to the correct layers
  3. Bring edges to the correct layers
  4. Permute corners within their layers
  5. Permute edges within the layers
  6. Solve parity

Steps 5 and 6 can be combined, where parity cases are included in permutation of edges.
