K4 mixes reduction, blockbuilding, edge pairing and direct solving techniques to produce a method that can quickly and efficiently solve a 4x4x4 (Revenge) cube.

It should be noted that while K4 is designed specifically for the 4x4x4 cube, it can be applied to any size of cube. Modifications can be made to make it friendlier to solve on the bigger (>=5x5x5) cubes.

K4 stands for Kirjava's 4x4x4 Method.

Overview
It consist of 7 steps

1. Make 2 opposite centers(use the same 2 colors each time, to get better F3L recognition

2. Make a 3x4x1 Block on your left (roux block)
Either pair edges and insert with corners or
Block build (efficient and faster)

3. Finish the last four centers

4. Finish the first layer do a z' rotation

5. F3L, no rotations are done. Usually done with a single color(say orange) each time as the F face

6. Do the corners with CLL

7. In 3 Looks solve the K4 ELL using commutators

The first commutator solve 1 edge and places it in place

The next pairs up another one and also places it in place

The third is an algorithm that solves the last 2 dedges and deals with parity.

Unless you get a special case with can be solved in 1 look.
Pros
Pros
Efficient
Regripless, there's only one valid re-grip, the z' rotation. The solves can be done with less rotations than reduction

Less moves than reduction.

F3L Lookahead is very good and you can get smooth enough to have literally no pauses

Is more efficent than reduction on 5x5

Cons
ELL is hard to get at first, and it takes time to get used to doing it in 3 looks.

2. Make a 3x4x1 Block on your left (roux block)
Either pair edges and insert with corners
Block build (efficient and faster)

3. Finish the last four centers

4. Finish the first layer do a z' rotation

5. F3L, no rotations are done. Usually done with a single color(say orange) each time as the F face

6. Do the corners with CLL

7. In 3 Looks solve the K4 ELL

Pros
Pros
Efficient
Regripless, there's only one valid re-grip, the z' rotation. The solves can be done with less rotations than reduction

Less moves than reduction.

F3L Lookahead is very good and you can get smooth enough to have literally no pauses

Is more efficent than reduction on 5x5

Cons
ELL is hard to get at first, and it takes time to ge used to doing it in 3 looks.

Currently the main IRC Bot used in the #rubik chatroom is named Nibblr (originally venim) created by Dan Cohen. This is a name change that occurred when the channel switched over to the freenode server. There is also an IRC Bot named mirco501, run by tomasu, which is an exact mirror of Nibblr. The name micro501 was meant to be the successor to the original bot, mirco500, which was created by Peter Greenwood(pjgat09).

Commands
NOTE: ABUSE OF ANY OF THESE COMMANDS CAN RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION. DO NOT SPAM THE CHANNEL.<br>
IF YOU WISH TO TEST THESE COMMANDS ON THE BOT, PRIVATE MESSAGE IT BY TYPING /msg Nibblr [command].

Each command is prefaced by a comma(,) for Nibblr and a period(.) for micro501. For example, to use Nibblr to get a 3x3 scramble you would type ,3 at the beginning of a line.

Puzzle Scrambles
Cubes
,2 through ,7 produces scrambles for 2x2 through 7x7 cubes.

You can additionally have last steps of several methods: LL, ZBLL & L6E/LSE with the following commands: ,ll ,zbll & ,roux .

*minx
Pyraminx: ,py<br>
Megaminx: ,m

Square-1
Square-1: ,sq

Clock
Clock: ,cl

Note: Clock scrambles are not in WCA format.

Skewb
Skewb: ,sk

Other Commands
Recording Averages
To add a time to your recorded times type ,time [your time]. For example, you could type ,time 3.45 if your time was 3.45 seconds.

To see the current added times type ,stats. For more than two times, it will show your average up to 12 solves, where it will continue to roll if you add more times. To see stats of other people, you can type ,stats [the person's nickname].

To clear all saved times type ,clear.

If you add the wrong time to your average you can type ,correct [correct time]. This will replace your last time entered with the correct time.

Tell
To send a message to another person via the bot you can type ,tell [the person's nickname] [your message]. When the person talks again they will receive the message.

,tell.pending [nickname]: shows the messages that you sent for [nickname] that have not been received yet.

,ptell [nickname] [message]: works the same way as ,tell except the message is sent in a private message to the person. Deleting and seeing pending ,ptell's works the same way as ,tell.
