Corners First, normally CF, are speedcubing methods that solves the corners as the first steps. Not many uses CF for 3x3x3 nowdays but it was wery popular in the 80's. Even fewer uses it for big cubes but for 2x2x2 it is the only option, it has got only corners, so CF is widley used for speedsolving the 2x2x2. Most popular methods are Guimond and Ortega but also Waterman (CLL) is used by many.

Beginner CF methods:
There are no specifically named methods in this group, but a typical beginner CF may look like this:

Corners:
* Solve the corners of the first level (intuition).
* Move LL corners to position using R U R' U' R' F R F'
* Orient LL corners using Sune R U R' U R U2 R'
Centres:
* Move centres into position using slice turns (trivial)
Edges:
* Place the edges of the E layer using moves like [AUF] M' R U' M U R'
* Place edges of first layer using M' U M or M' U2 M
* EOLL
* EPLL (only U PLL is needed).
