Nothing is confirmed yet, Sweden is just making a bid. Worlds 2027 could be anywhere.

It sounds like a fun idea to take the WC to Sweden, it's something me and some other Swedish cubers talked about over 10 years ago.
I am an older cuber who competed in two WCs before and was also a judge at one of them.
If the WC comes to Sweden and I have time at that time, I will be happy to help in any suitable way.

Applications haven't been called for yet. Worlds 2025 apps were called for in Apr 2023, then announced in Aug 2023, so it should be soon for 2027 apps.
Worlds is such a huge and expensive event, not very many countries ever apply for it. Only 2 countries applied for Worlds 2025.
Sweden announcing early that they will be applying is good. Shows lots of preplanning for it.

What are some of the deciding factors between applications? Does it matter if it's the same country or continent that hosted the previous worlds? Or is it just a matter of who has the 'best' app, especially when there are such a limited number of apps? What happens if only one country applies?
