I think I will probably never go to another world championship. When you only qualify for 6 events, and 4 of them are 4 of your least favorite, it just doesn't seem worth it. :-(

To register. There’s basically 4 rounds of eligibility to register since not everyone can compete.

Thank goodness. I was really scared for a second that I couldn't go. These qualifications are really strict tho honestly.

That is correct, yes. If you qualify at the phase 4 times, odds are pretty good that you will be able to compete. And if you qualify at one of the earlier phases for even one of the events, odds are really good you can get registered, and then you should be able to compete in whatever events you qualify for with phase 4 times. But if you can't make the phase 4 times for a given event, you can't compete in that event.

For instance, I am able to qualify for phase 3 in 3x3x3 BLD. So with a capacity of 2000 competitors, odds are pretty good I could get in, if I am ready to register as soon as phase 3 opens. But at that point I can only register for 3x3x3 BLD.

Once phase 4 starts, I could then register for 3x3x3, 2x2x2, pyraminx, skewb, and 4x4x4 BLD. But I don't qualify for any of the other events (unless a shockingly small number of people register for fewest moves and/or multiBLD).

I don't think I am willing to make that long trip at that expense to compete in only 2 of my favorite events, and then 4 of my least favorite. So no, I don't think I will go.

I’m not able to register until round 2 for 3x3, 7x7 and mega, then not again until round 3 for 4,5, and so one

I make phase 2 for Clock, phase 3 for 2-5, OH, Mega, Skewb, Squan, and Pyra, and Phase 4 for 6 and 7
I compete this weekend and my goal is to make phase 2 for 3x3, megaminx, and squan, and phase 3 for 6x6 and maybe 7x7

I'll be there, I qualify for 8 events, hopefully 9 if I do well in 5x5 in a few days. Currently phase 3 is the earliest I can register bc I cannot do well in 2x2 at comps but also hoping for that to change soon.

bruv i still have to get a US visa and plane tickets which probably cost 100k pesos alonr and to make things worse my parents probably wont let me compete oh well, im not sub-7 yet so its pointless anyway

I will likely be there if my grades are good enough, but I'm pre-registering anyway. What if we all bunked in the same hotel so that if needed, we meet up at breakfast or smth? just a thought tho. it's a bit silly.

also, i'm definitely going to only be a spectator. ain't no way i'm making any of those qualifications.
