Worlds 2025 registration in 4 phases, with varying qualifying times

Most of the stuff I should be able to qualify for are phase 3, so getting to phase 2 for at least 5-7 events, I should want to go if I can.

The easiest ones for me (in order) would probably be Clock, Squan, 2x2, 4x4, Pyraminx, and Skewb, followed by 3x3 and 5x5+

To reply to that, Clock is soooooooper easy for phase 2. I would expected at least 7.5, but 8 is very doable for an event that is easy to grind.

I can phase 4 4x4, 3x3, 2x2, Skewb and Pyramix. I can phase 3 OH.
Also: Sub 13 for 3x3 phase 3. I HAVE A 13.01 average lol

You only have to meet the qualifying time in one event to be able to register in phase 1, 2, or 3. Once phase 4 registration opens, all qualifying times will be set to phase 4, and you can go back to your earlier phase registration and add whatever other events you now qualify for.

I'm like barely at the edge for phase 2 in many different events. give me one comp and i guarantee ill be phase 2 for 4x4-7x7 lol.

Same. Maybe not for 4x4 but def 5-7.

0.06 seconds away from phase 2 in 2x2
7 seconds away from phase 2 in 4x4 (havent competed in a while, sub 38 will be easy)
2.5 seconds away from phase 2 in 5x5
8 seconds away from phase 2 in 6x6
0.26 seconds away from phase 2 in 7x7 (so sad)

pyra is the next likely thing, i just dont compete in it often.

Registration for phase 1 doesn't open till late 2024 or early 2025, so you've got 6 months or so to go to comps to get better qualifying times.

CubingUSA said in a reply that this will be the biggest comp ever with a competitor limit of 2000 people, so plenty of room for plenty of people.

Because there are 4 phases, the average under _ by 2025-5-19 is phase 4 I think

You can register if any of your events meets the qualifying times for the phase open when registering. You can ONLY register for events that meet the phase qualifying time for that phase.

When phase 4 opens, you can add any remaining events for which you qualify.

Ex: you are phase 2 for skewb but phase 3 for pyra, phase 4 for 5x5 and 3x3. You can register during phase 2 but only for skewb. During phase 4, you can then add pyra, 3x3 & 5x5.

I just realised that some local comps in China have a quicker cutoff than we had in NZ Nats 2023

*only cubes 6x6 and 7x7 cutoffs intensifies*

Also, the Pyra cutoffs seem too slow imo.
