Feliks has been beaten in almost all of his accomplishments. He no longer has any WRs, hasn’t podium in Worlds sense 2015, but he still had a few things.

He still has the most Worlds wins and podiums (2 wins 2013, 2016 and 3 podiums 2011, 2013, 2015.) I think that the only person capable to beat this record soon is Max for his Worlds 2017 win and his recent dominance. Yiheng could too, he’s so good and so young. Feliks is also tied with Max for most events won at a single Worlds (5) I also believe Max could break this too. His dominance at big cubes and OH gives him basically 5 free wins, and if he wins at 3x3, that’s 6.

But that’s my 2 cents, I want to hear other peoples’ thoughts on if all of Felik’s accomplishments will be beaten.

Short answer: He will always be the GOAT.

Actually, I think he has already lost his GOAT status. Yes, he has the most wins and podiums and all that. However, he hasnt won a nations in a while. And a lot of new, up and coming cubers are coming on the scene that are making it a challenge for him to retain any records. Its a matter of time. He had an impressive streak, and will always be one of the best. However, no one can stay the greatest of all time.

😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
How? It is nearly impossible stay top of the top for 10+ years. He has been working with a job that is not cubing unlike cubers that are in school or cubing professionally. Faz has 121 WR and 211 Ocrs. He has brought cubing to a point that people at the time thought would never be possible. That fact that he STILL is maintaining his OCR streak and podiuming at major comps is impressive. Feliks Zemdegs will always be the greatest of all time.

EDIT: He may not be the greatest right now but he is always the GOAT.

I disagree. Who else has made more contributions to cubing or inspired so many people? He helped cubing progress more than anyone. A lot of "new, up and coming cubers" like max and leo said they were inspired by Feliks.

I can see I opened a large can of worms lol. Dont get me wrong, I definitely agree with how much he has contributed to the community. If we're talking cubing speed/skill, thats where I would disagree with his GOAT status. I'm personally a Max Park fan. However, yes, he has given a lot to the community, and will always have had a huge impact on us. Also, a good point was made by the fact of him keeping up with a separate job other than cubing, so that does deserve a high amount of respect too.

Edit: What I'm getting at is that it is hard to find the greatest of all time because of how many great cubers there are, whether it be speed (Feliks, Max, Tymon) or community (Jperm, Feliks, etc.)

Feliks also broke tons of barriers that no one thought possible, so that is why I would consider him the GOAT. They call Tom brady the GOAT, and even though he isn't good now since the past few years he has gotten records that no one can heat and MADE HISTORY, just like Feliks did.

Like I said in the other thread: it's called greatest of ALL TIME, not greatest of the past few years (Tymon). And Idk why you even bring up Jperm.

Max has done similar with big cubes. Just last week he broke the sub-38 5x5 barrier. And over the years, he’s done a lot more barrier breaking in big cubes.

Max Park's dominates in 4x4, 6x6, and 7x7 much more than Feliks ever did. 3x3 will always be the most prestigious event, though, and Feliks dominated it between his first WR and when Max took it from him with the 6.39 (about 5-6 years). Feliks also has a more diverse set of accomplishments, notably his 2x2 and 4BLD WRs and fast Megaminx times. If Max can stay at his level for the next 3-5 years, especially if he gets the 3x3 average back, I think he could rival Feliks as the greatest of all time. More recent accomplishments should generally be weighted more in my opinion, as there is far more competition, which works in Max's favor.

If you exclude a several month period in 2017, Feliks held the record from the start of 2010 all the way to mid 2021. So someone else will have to hold the record for over ELEVEN YEARS to match Felik's 3x3 wr avgs. Also 121 WRs.
