Ethan Zhuang.
To start, he DNFed in 2x2 Worlds 2025 out of 1st place, and he didn’t even get podium. He’s also had many fails, like his 0.53+2, and one time he +2ed out of 2 counting sub ones, and the other solves had fumbles so maybe even fail out of sub 1 average? He’s also failed out of North American champions TWICE (2x2 NAC 2024 and Clock NAC 2026) and also double +2ed out of silver in 2x2 NAC 2026. I could go even further (failed at all stars), but I think you get the point. Who do you think is the unluckiest speedcuber?

you could also say that being 0.01 seconds off wr and having all your 2x2 world records cancelled for no apparent reason (cough sliding cough) is quite unlucky too

My guy got the WR single 2.76, randomly counted a 3.59, and got overall pb 4.41 in comp. I do not think he is unlucky

Also won the European Champion title when Tymon bombed his average in 2026. ER average, WR single, Continental Champion. Sounds alright to me.

I forgot 2x2, bro had a WR single (definition of luck) and a counting 0.63 that has been the counting WR for the last 3 years and is nowhere near being broken. (Next best is 0.70) Teodor was also the first person to get a second career sub-0.5 single

Nah. If it was solve 5, you could maybe say this, but it was solve 1. The other 4 solves might have been completely different without the DNF.
