Would the Zhilong Mini 3x3 be too small for OH?
Yes. The M slices are too thin. Get the guhong v3 if you’re on budget, and get the uv gan mini m pro if you want the best cube for OH, the M slices of the gan mini M pro are as thick as the gan 11 m pro, just that the corners are made smaller. The centre caps of gan mini M pro can be swapped with gan 11 m pro.

GAN 12 would be good, but forgo the maglev as it can get uncontrollable. Get the springed Leap instead, but if you really want maglev, add slower lubes
Maglev better
The reason I don't recommend it is that it feels too uncontrollable but I do have a very accurate (albeit aggressive) turning style so if you turn lighter, it would probably be better than the Leap. But you do you, I suppose.
My gf has a gan 12 M leap UV coated by me, but it isn’t really that great. I was thinking if the gan 12 maglev is better, or just the settings are not the best.
What are the best setting combinations for the gan 12 M leap? I normally won’t struggle with setting up a 3x3 that much but it’s just too different from other moyu 3x3s than I’m used to, like normally I would expect the cube to be more controllable with stronger magnet settings, but it just turns faster with stronger magnet settings due to it’s unique mechanism.

Also her gan 12 m leap always accidentally do wide moves especially F & F’. I tried my best to set it up, but I just can’t find the right settings for it as I am not very familiar with gan 3x3s.
Anyway, she has just ordered a UV Coated GAN 11 M Pro with Ruihang’s signature setup from Pi Cube, and she’s now using my Pi Cube Premium UV Coated YS3M with custom blue nuts.
However, we still want to try fix her GAN 12. Is it just the problem with the leap version and I better get a maglev one?

Is it possible to swap pieces in the wingy v2 with tornado v3 pioneer to make it maglev
@Bingus Ringus McDingus I’m planning to buy a wingy v2 with some parts of a tornado v3 pioneer and try to make it maglev, just wanna make sure I would work. (4 sets of maglev rings of a tornado v3 pioneer would cost me nearly $5 which is like half the price of a wingy v2 already)

Is it catching or just turning on its own? The catching issue is just a fundamental early-batch GAN 12 thing across both Maglev and Leap but if it turns on its own, consider some heavier lube.

Would the Zhilong Mini 3x3 be too small for OH?
My hands are not so big (just average female teenager size) and I like the size of the Zhilong mini. However, I couldn't turn as fast as I'd like, because I find the magnets too strong for my not so big hand. I had no problems with the small slice moves.
I do now use the ys3m ballcore, because it's smaller than most (55 mm) and the magnets are less strong than in the Zhilong mini and it is fast.

@Bingus Ringus McDingus I mean do the maglev rings in tornado v3 pioneer work in wingy v2?
I'm not the person to know that, as I don't own a Wingy and have only tried them in comps or from friends. I don't think it would work though, as the Wingy doesn't have a screw like the Tornado does.
