Ok, I have a used pyraminx but don't know which one it is. It's probably either a Meffert's or a QJ. Can someone please confirm which one it is? It has something like half bright textured tiles, not stickers so I don't think those came with the puzzle originally. There are metal ball bearings so it snaps into place. I don't think the tips come off. I couldn't even disassemble it when I tried because it's kind of tight. Clicks some and feels sluggish.

sounds like Mefferts if the tiles feel like they have lines on them then most likely its a Mefferts.

Can anyone Id this?

The core is a brownish color and is see through.

Also the plastic is very sturdy but the cube moves terribly and and plastic is textured.

Also there is no logo on the cube, the stickers look very old though, but still in good shape.

I previously owned one of these cubes. It didn't come in a box and had orange stickers instead of purple. Was definitely and eastsheen mechanism though, so it's probably a ko eastsheen. Either that a puzl restickered them before sending them out.

Yup, I have one, and my friend had one that I lubed
It was my first cube

Just a quick not, the centers aren't actually screwed in, they just have some weird grooves that keep them in the core. If you turn too hard or pull on a face or something, faces can come off entirely, and they're impossible to get back in the same way. If you get them in, they'll be loose as heck

Happened to both cubes, but I glued them back in. I retired mine, and my friend stopped cubing.

Unknown 2x2

At the end of the day today at school, my calculus teacher showed me a 2x2 he bought. I didn't get long to see it because I had to go, but I accidentally popped it and saw the inside. I put it back together quickly because I had to catch my bus, but I cannot figure out what it is. The mechanism was really strange. The corners had screws going into them with sort of like a spring plate and they hooked into the center mechanism. This inside was un-dyed plastic and the outside was white with textured stickers or tiles iirc. Does anyone know the name of this cube? It wasn't good or anything, but waiting till monday to find out is going to drive me insane.
