About one year ago, I was struggling learning begginner OLL and PLL. Now, i've learnt half Full PLL and arround 10 OLL algorithms. I'm also using Advanced F2L and crappy Look Ahead. When i started averaging arround 43 seconds (now i average 32) i started looking for lube on MercadoLibre (latinamerican ebay) since most cube shops either don't ship to here or have shipping prices that are simply not affordable with the economy on here. So, i logically used WD-40. And i've used it for a month now until i just now read that it screws up your cube. Does it really??? For me it actually makes it faster and it's the only option i have apart from letting my 3 / 4 dollar cube stay without lubricant.
And for the algorithms part, the algs i use are these ones:
OLL: http://www.ws.binghamton.edu/fridrich/Mike/orient.html
PLL: http://www.ws.binghamton.edu/fridrich/Mike/permute.html
They're the original ones and i've used them for a long time now, but the 2 friends i have that know a bit less of cubing than me, said they SUCKED. Which, again, i'm using the original ones so i should be using everything... That i should be using!
I found another set of algorithms, but they don't seem much different:
The algorithms are shown after 16:46
Only advantage i could find over the official ones are that they have easier-to-use notation.
