# Unofficial Records Page: How to get a solve uploaded?

So I was recently browsing the unofficial records page on the wiki. I was looking for a records that I could potentially beat. I came across the Square-1 FMC category, which had a single world record of 47 moves (counting only slices and moves, not “0’s” in notation) by Harry Owen. After a few tries, I managed to get a 44 move (I think) solve, and was wondering what the process is for getting the solve updated on the page.

Here is the scramble and solution:
Scramble: (0,-4)/(4,4)/(0,3)/(-1,-1)/(0,-3)/(4,-2)/(-4,0)/(3,0)/(0,-4)/(-5,0)/(0,-2)/(0,-5)/(-3,0)/(2,0)

Solution:
CubeShape: z2 (-4,-2)/(0,2)/(1,2)/(0,3)/
OBL: (-1,0)/(1,4)/
CP: /(-3,-3)/(-3,0)/(-3,-3)/(-3,0)/(-3,-3)/
EP: (-4,2)/(0,-3)/(1,1)/(0,-3)/(0,3)/(-1,-1)/(0,3)/
ABF: (6,4)

Full Solution (with cancellations): (-4,2)/(0,2)/(1,2)/(0,3)/(-1,0)/(-2,1)/(-3,0)/(-3,-3)/(-3,0)/(-3,-3)/(-4,2)/(0,-3)/(1,1)/(0,-3)/(0,3)/(-1,-1)/(0,3)/(6,4)

44 Moves total

If anyone finds any errors in the solution/counting let me know!

P.S. My name is Brady Lawrence if anyone here can update the page.

I think you have to make a yt video and then copy the link and paste it

You don't need to make a video. Just sign in on the Wiki, go to the fewest moves section, and click "edit". Look and see how the formatting works, and change the Square-1 FMC single to your name, result, country, etc. I'll update it for you, but just so you know for the future

Nobody's going to make sure your result is legit—it's called the "List of Unofficial World Records" for a reason.

Thanks, I guess I didn't try logging in on the wiki.

I wonder what counts as an FMC attempt for square one though. My best solve is 37 moves, and I think I have a few under that just by doing lots of speedsolves.

Edit: I just found another solve that was 34 moves

Yeah, I had a 12 slicer once on a ridiculous scramble, idk how many actual moves. I’d say perhaps we should try and set some proper guidelines for what counts and doesn’t count

I don't know if there are names for metrics, so this might already be a thing that exists, but I would think that any turn—whether it be a slice, or a U or D turn, should count as one move. So (5, 0)/ should be 2 turns, and (1, 1)/ should be 3, a slice on its own should be 1, etc.

Yeah the current and previous UWRs were counted exactly that way.

@Aerma not sure what's going on, but I went to verify my email on the wiki so I can edit the pages, and the confirmation email never sent. I tried it with multiple email addresses, and was wondering if you have any clue what's going on?

Yeah, I did that, the problem is email confirmation
I have the same problem, the email never seems to come.

I have a 26 from a while back lol:
(0,-4)/ (1,-5)/ (2,2)/ (0,-3)/ (-3,-3)/ (3,-2)/ (3,0)/ (-5,0)/ (3,-1)/ (-1,-3)/

/ 1 0 / 0 3 / // csp
2 -3 / 6 3 / -2 4 / -3 0 / 2 -1 / // solve corners while preserving blocks
0 -3 / 1 1 / -4 -3 // m2 lol

Final:
/ 1 0 / 0 3 / 2 -3 / 6 3 / -2 4 / -3 0 / 2 -1 / 0 -3 / 1 1 / -4 -3

STM: 10
FTM: 26

I think it's just the lighting. Or it could be a parity.

I checked with a digital color meter, it's just the lighting.
