Tymon has not got an official sub 4 single since July 2024

Now regarding Tymon I do agree its due to ZB usage. If he gets more used to it to the point he can recognize even faster he could get a few sub 4s for sure.

I guess Tymon needs a lot of luck in his upcoming 3x3 2H solves at comps.

I also think that this is because of the method he uses now, but you need to take into account that he now consistently gets 4-5 second averages instead of the 5-6 second averages he got before.
He could get a fast single through something similar like Xuanyi got in his wr single, a LL where the ZBLL is the same as the standart OLL, I'm not sure how much time Tymon would need for recognition tho

Well if Tymon inserts the last slot with ZBLS then doesn't he have a 1 in 493 chance of a ZBLL skip, i.e., LL skip?
Seems that ultimately would produce faster singles than doing OLL and getting a PLL skip.
If you get 15 3x3 solves per competition then it seems about 32 competitions would give you a 50/50 chance of getting a ZBLL skip, or maybe once per year?

There are 21 or 22 PLLs (depending on if you count PLL skip as a PLL case) but the chance of a PLL skip is not 1/21. An OLL skip is 1/216, not 1/58

If the chance of a ZBLL skip was 1/493(I know it's 1/1994) then after 342 solves(so roughly 23 comps if 15 solves each comp) there would be more than a 50% chance of getting a ZBLL skip. ((492/493)^342=0.499).

Because the actual chance is 1/1994, until Tymon does 1382 solves(roughly 92 comps) he will more likely than not get no ZBLL skip.

Even if he did get a ZBLL skip, he would almost definitely need a sub 3 F2L to get the WR, so it's possible but unlikely(especially as the main way to get fast singles)
