Hello community! I’d like to share this new cube I’ve created. I tried to bring the concept of a toroid to a cube, and this is the result. I know the Tori exists, but this one has the shape of a donut and deforms. I think it's an interesting and fun idea. Some people have mentioned that it could be solved similarly to the centers of a 4x4. What do you think about this cube? I’ll leave the download link here: https://cults3d.com/:2611421

Thanks! :)

wow this is amazing.🤩 i must try using blender soon to design puzzles!

in the video, i noticed the puzzle makes an audible click after each turn. i understand that there are magnets, but is there also ball detents? in the cults link you say to "print the balls in flexible material" would tpu work?

again, amazing! am interested to see one with stickers.

Thanks for your words! Exactly, in addition to the magnets, it also features a click mechanism. The balls are printed in TPU for better results, they slide more smoothly and achieve the hooking effect. Yes, I should try one with stickers to see how it turns out. BTW Do you have a 3D printer? If you'd like, you could print it out and give me your feedback.

wow that is ingeneous! a click mechanism is advacned for 3d printed puzzles. tpu being softer will it eventually wear down (but as long as replacement is easy there is no problem)? yes i have two 3d printers. a standard ender 3 v2 along with a neptune 3 plus. i would love to print your donut rubiks cube as soon as i finish some of my current puzzle projects!
