6 months and a day ago I didn't knew how to solve a cube.
6 months and 2 days ago I had never touched a cube.
So I got into cubing searching for a hobby not computer related and a friend shown me his amazing 25 seconds solves and offered me to buy a dayan cube from amazon.
I said why not.
I learned how to solve the cube the day I got it and got my first sub 1 3 days later, my first sub 50 3 days laters, my first sub 40 3 days later.
At this moment I was already addicted to cubing, doing 100 solves a day.
After one month, my pb was 22.2 and I was averaging around 30. The next month, my pb was 15.84 with an ao100 of around 26.
Got sub 20 which was a big milestone for me the 26 of June and now I'm at:
Single: 10.44
Ao5: 13,65
Ao10: 14,56
Ao50: 15,54
Ao100: 15,74
During the end of May I went to my first competition, I got a 22.65 average in second round with a 18.14 single which was pretty good for me at the moment.
This was really a lot of fun ! I'm really motivated to go to any competition closer than 400 km from were I leave. The next one is in October and I can't wait.
I also met a lot of really cool people, and I think it will only get better.
Cubing have been a really positive thing in my life even tho I think I'm spending too much time on it :') but yeah, I can't wait to go with some friends on some 2000km trips to go to comps, I have a feeling that it will happen one day.
The only bad thing is that my goal for this 6th months anniversary was to have a sub 10 single (I now have well over 15 11 single and 3 10 singles) but it should happen really soon !
That was my little cubing history, thanks for reading, have a nice cubing day !
