Here are the formats for the events 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4:

2x2 Format:
First Round: 75% move on to the next round
Second Round: 50% move on to the next round
Third Round: Top 8 move on
Finals: Top 3 win!

3x3 Format:
First Round: 75% move on the next round
Second Round: 50% move on to the next round
Third Round: Top 16 move on to the next round
Round of 16: The 16 people will have to do a head-on-head round, winner of the 1v1 moves to next round
Quarter Finals: The 8 people who advance to next round will do a head-on-head round again, whoever wins, moves on
Semi-Finals: The 4 people who made it to the semi-finals will do a head-on-head round again, the two winners… Compete in Finals!
Finals: One declared winner!!!

4x4 Format:
First Round: Top 16 move on to the next round
Final: Top 3 win!

4 rounds of 4x4? In actual comps there are usually 2. We don't need this many rounds for a 40 PERSON LIMIT COMP.
