I had an interesting idea a few days ago after a Dilly Milly stream I was watching. During the stream, Dylan mentioned that he was going to be “buying Hansen Yu stock”, and that got me thinking about a cool game idea.
I thought it would be fun to give numeric values/points to a number of barriers in 3x3 solving (average times, not single). Say the “sub 5.5” average barrier was given a value of 5 points. Sean Patrick Villinueva currently has a 5.45 3x3 PR average. If I were to purchase 5 of his tokens, that would cost me 25 points. Say, in a couple of months or so, Sean improves his PR average to a 5.17. Let's say the “Sub 5.2 average” barrier was given a value of 8 points. If I had purchased 5 of his tokens earlier for 25 points, they would now be worth 40 points. These tokens can now be “sold” back for a profit. Whoever has the most points will win on the leaderboard, which will be updated weekly.
Point Values (relative to official averages):
Sub 30: 1 point
Sub 20: 2 Points
Sub 15: 4 Points
Sub 12: 6 Points
Sub 10: 10 Points
Sub 9: 14 Points
Sub 8.5: 20 Points
Sub 8: 30 Points
Sub 7.5: 50 Points
Sub 7: 100 Points
Sub 6.5: 175 Points
Sub 6.3: 250 Points
Sub 6: 450 Points
Sub 5.7: 700 Points
Sub 5.5: 1000 Points
Sub 5.3: 1450 Points
Sub 5.1: 1700 Points
Sub 5: 2000 Points
Sub 4.7: 2500 Points
Sub 4.5: 3000 Points
Sub 4: 5000
WR5: 2500 Points
WR4: 2800 Points
WR3: 3300 Points
WR2: 4000 Points
WR: 5000 Points
The cuber will take the highest value that applies to them. For example, Tymon Kolasinski has a PR average of 4.74, which belongs in both the “sub 5” and “WR3” categories. Because the “WR3” category has a higher point value than the “sub 5” category (3300 vs 2000), Tymon will get the points assigned to that category.
To buy tokens, make sure you format like this:
Buy: 5 tokens of Gurshan Singh (2019SING33)
Cost: 250 points (50 points each)
To sell tokens, make sure you format like this:
Sell: 5 tokens of Gurshan Singh (2019SING33)
Value: 250 Points (50 points each)
I will update the leaderboard every two weeks. With that, have fun!
IMPORTANT: EVERYONE HAS A STARTING BUDGET OF 5000 TOKENS
