Do you think it would be possible to do a subset using ZBLS where you have the pair and you recognize the last layer and solve it all at once like a combination of VLS and ZBLL? Or is this already a method.

In response to your question, it is in theory possible though there would be a stupidly large number of algs. You might want to have a look at CTLS which is sort of similar to what you're proposing and reduces the number of algs to something reasonable.
