speedcubedb is down forever :,(

This is why I pushed for speedcubedb to be open source as pretty much all cubing tools (including WCA website) are, but Gil misunderstood and took this as some kind of insult.
 
He actually got insulted and threatened by other persons (including racism) so I guess we can do him a favor and stop talking about speedcubedb shutting down in the past. I also wouldn't push this thread but it got the most recent post anyway right now.
 
imo someone should make an open source clone of speedcubedb so we can stop worrying about when gil’s next fit will be.

If you mean a direct clone of the website, @Filipe Teixeira attempted that already and Gil was understandably very upset about it. If you mean a new online algorithm database which does to SpeedCubeDB what SpeedCubeDB did to AlgDB, then I’d agree that would be very nice.

if i can learn web design, then i think i will do the latter option myself. (i meant a direct clone but built from the ground up.)
