Can anyone confirm the F2L case numbering is different from the usual SS wiki F2L numbering? https://www.speedsolving.com/wiki/index.php?title=First_Two_Layers Idk if the wiki one is standard, but it seems to be the most widespread

Also I am looking for an open source alternative to speedcubedb for collecting algorithms that are voted on. Speedcubedb has had a poor uptime record (and isn't open source).
algdb if its still up

Also cubingapp.com

Create one instead of asking someone else to do all the work for free
do you say this to every person who asks for a resource?

"where can I find a 4x4 solver" "Create one instead of asking someone else to do all the work for free"
"where can I find a stackmat compatible timer" "Create one instead of asking someone else to do all the work for free"
"where can I find a FTO simulator" "Create one instead of asking someone else to do all the work for free"

see how stupid you sound?

I mean, the bulk of the work required for a good algorithms db website is making it have a large user base. The software itself is not difficult at all to create compared to, uh, a 4x4 solver or an FTO simulator, but it would still not be very useful compared until you somehow get enough active users. No one has bothered, and I don't see a need to bother, considering that speedcubedb already does its job well and is widely used. There is nothing wrong with the resource. If you are concerned with uptime it's ideal to record algorithms on a spreadsheet or similar (smart to do in any case, uptime aside).

Yeah I've been making flash cards and I'll probably just go with the old-school cubeskills f2l algs.
I used to use the wiki for f2l algs which is terrible because there's a lot of crappy algs and the actually good ones aren't highlighted well. But the numbering is useful. No one seems to have noticed the speedcubedb numbering is off from the wiki.

no, why would I?

yes, I see how stupid you sound

does cubingapp.com fit what you're looking for? if not, what would you like to be different?

I think voting feature has pros and cons. the pro is you can see cuber's opinions, but the con is that you have some garbage algs to sift through. I'm curious to hear other thoughts

I thinking about it I decided that the voting isn't as good as just using the handpicked algs I like from cubeskills. Most of the top ones are the best, but I'm not a fan of the alg people voted on speedcubedb for their numbering's F2L 40

the switch between r and R isn't free and I think the cubeskills OLL alg is easier
(R U' R') F (R U R' U') F' (R U' R')
i.e. with OLL 45
