I opened a SpeedCubeDB tab, and suddenly I get a "Your account has been suspended" message. Is this just me, or a widespread issue? I'm a bit confused here, as I never made an account for SpeedCubeDb. Any theories on what happened here?

Never been to New york.
but there is another CS professor with the same name, not an uncommon one.
he's not a racist, but the three sentences above clearly point out the (in) validity in your words.

thats not the gil zussman from here, the coloumbia gil is an engineering professor, whereas the one whom operates the cubedb website is a software programmer. plus they live on different continents and look nothing alike.

His Twitter feed is endlessly complaining about anti-genocide protestors at this university, and he posts people's faces and names and pushes to get them expelled. He's always interviewed in the news whenever the protests at Columbia & other American univerisities come up. I honestly didn't make the connection that it's the same guy until I saw this thread and realised it's him. It's kind of off topic for this thread but yeah someone needs to make another algorithm database that isn't controlled by some professor with the temper of a 5 year old and a fanatical love for genocide, or it's going to keep being taken down every couple of weeks

We used to have students body give FREE ice cream in the university as a part of student body activity.
and every once in a while, there used to be an attention seeking troll who ranted and shouted about how bad the (free!) ice cream was.

people told him - just don't eat it. or "dude, ITS A FREE ICE CREAM".

but no. the student decided to stay there and instead of enjoying his day,
to keep shout, rant, and let everyone know how bad was that (free) ice cream,
citing fascism, biggotism and a bunch of -ism.

i used to care about such attention seeking trolls.
and then i keep reminding myself, that it's a FREE ICE CREAM (or cubing website about plastic cubes)


and all you do instead of moving on, is citing someone who isnt me and promoting your agenda which isn't related at all to cubing.

so let me repeat myself and be clear -
speedcubedb.com is FREE ICE CREAM.

and if you want to cry about it like you did in your last post,
citing people who are not me and subjects i did not bring up -

I have my own stance on the conflict, but i always make sure to keep them out when it relates to cubing.
I organize competitions myself in Israel and we always welcome Jews, Christians, Muslims AND Palestinians, even in forign competitions.

so it's really hurtful when you put words into my mouth. (or when the WCA Board quiets Israeli competitions, agains policy).

if ANYONE is recieving threats (a.k.a. your mention of a "tantrum"), are threats like this DURING last WCA Worlds, without any consequences from the WCA:

I'm in a forced "vacation" abroad because of what you hear in the news, and was up all night from afar trying to fix the server.

I'm not thinking about selling nor making money out of it, But if you want yo collaborate or want me to help you , I'm always open for suggestions.

I already have a project in the works to make speedcubedb obsolete, should be ready if I get a chance to get some sleep

The amount of time sacrificed to make a website with tens of thousands of algs, tons of helpful resources, and many, many amazing tips to help people grow in any event of their choosing is immense. If you saw "account suspended" and tried to contact me via the email provided- know that I have not suspended anyone's account.

That is namecheap.com horrendous way to let you know *my* account was suspended, and then ask you to "contact" me with a nonexistent email ( [email protected] ) so you might think I ignored you.

Which is why I posted here and on other social media - in contrast to some toxic attention trolls like the one posted here, suggesting some temper tantrum and/or asking for attention - I wonder who's the one asking for attention in another guilt trip.
