I'm reviewing my F2L cases and I remembered someone saying sledge can be used to turn many bad cases into good or ok cases.
These are from the cubeskills f2l pdf which I printed out and added a bunch of notes to. I probably forgot a few so I will edit them in later.
1.

Sledge alg: U' (R' F R F') (R U R')
Moves the edge to the back and lifts out the front corner correctly
2.

Sledge creates pair. Can also do another sledge instead of inverse sexy for pair insert
3.
Ugly!
Sledge alg: U2 (R' F R F') U2 (R U R')
Moves away corner, lifts out edge correctly
4.

Bottom alg is sledge. Does something magical where it reforms the pair on the D layer.
5.

Sledge alg: (R' F R F') (R' U2 R2 U R2' U R)
Lifts out flipped pair with an F', then does one of the algs for the flipped pairs.
There are also a few algs that use magic F <RU> F' to avoid rotations which are totally unintuitive
