Search completely rubbish?

Is it just me or is the search (using mobile site) completely rubbish?

Just for example - I have been trying to search for a thread that goes through the different methods for 2x2 speedcubing or explains one of them. I tried multiple search variations such as '2x2 guide' '2x2 methods' 2x2 Ortega guide' '2x2 different methods' etc and all of the results I looked at were completely unrelated.

Am I doing something wrong?

I've heard about this problem before, so just search on google:

Are you using the vBulletin search of the GCS (Google custom search) at the top right of every page?

I just searched for "2x2 methods" on the GCS and it returned threads with different 2x2 methods, which seemed very relevant.

Ah, you're referring to mobile, which currently uses the vB search. I will work on implementing the new search into mobile.

Can you guys confirm the GCS works well for you on desktop, such as the example I gave above?

I'm clicking the search icon at the top right of the mobile site which opens an advanced search page.
I've just created a custom mobile search page, which uses the Google CSE. Can you (or anyone reading this) please browse the mobile site now, use the search, and let me know if it works okay? Thanks.
