I've been wondering: what do you think is considered professional cubing? Less than 90 moves/solve or under 30 seconds etc. Would you have to hold a record in the top several hundreds in the WCA database? I've been pondering this for a while and want to know if you consider yourself a professional speed cuber.

I should've worded it differently. ^^; At what point do you think someone could be considered a fully skilled cuber?

When you go to competitions you can consider yourself a professional cuber. You are going to competitions..thus competing. You could get 2 minutes..you are still professional (though a crappy one)

I'd personally rank a professional as sub30 and going to competitions.

To be a professional it would have to be your job/Profession. It's a Hobby.... Soooo to be an EXPERT, I'd have to say knowledge means more than speed. But put them hand in hand. And you have your answer.
