Ohhh so thats the redi cube ive been seeing everywhere. Thanks, i will buy it soon.

I suspect Yuxin is no longer producing the magnetic version of the 8 Petals Cube. Either that, or they leave out magnets in random batches as they feel like.

The magnetic version is decent (if you can get your hands on one, or if you magnetise the non-mag one yourself), but the non-magnetic version is trash in comparison, not any better than the Moyu Redi Cube.

Just because the packaging says it has magnets, and the website selling it says it has magnets, does not actually mean it has magnets.

In normal circumstances it's fine to trust the manufacturer and the seller, but in this specific case you can't. You can see for yourself that (almost?) no cube store lists the non-magnetic version of the 8 Petals Cube as a separate product, and yet it is a fact that Yuxin is producing a non-magnetic version of the puzzle now. (I do not know whether they're still producing the magnetic version at all.)

I imagine SCS (or wherever you'd order from) would probably offer a full refund if you ordered the puzzle from them and it turned out to be non-magnetic, so it's not that much of a risk. Just don't get your hopes up, or be prepared to magnetise the Yuxin 8 Petals yourself.
