I guess do you mean do we all sub to each other. I forget if I'm subbed to anyone else here, but I'd like my subscriber count to reflect actually interested viewers rather than sub4sub kind of numbers.
Same, I want to make something out of my channel, and reach in the top, not just try to get 100 and stop
I'm subbed to some, but only to the ones I found something interesting in the content, like how I would do to random channels

Most of the actual interested viewers do not subscribe actually.

One of the shortcomings of the YouTube model.

yes very true. They click on the video to learn something, and then once they are satisfied they click off and never visit your channel again
that's interested once. if they watch a few videos and like what you're presenting and your style, they'll stick around.

That is true, but if you want succes in YouTube, you need to stop this, like you should have a higher views average per video compared to subscribers, but still the majority is going to be random people

And what would make your channel better, is if you could direct those people to another video of yours and make them to like you and subscribe

I want success but I'd rather have low views making videos I want to make rather than what everyone else is making.

I didn't say that you need to make what everyone else makes, I mean you should want to get views, and make them to also subscribe, and do this with your own video ideas, especially let's say now you want to get monetized, you need subs, but more importantly views, because the watch hours is a lot, and I don't think you will make 1 hour highest quality vid, and you only need 4000 views, you more need hundred of thousands of views to get those watch hours

I have no need to get monetized or sponsored. I have a job that pays well and I don't feel like actively trying to boost subscribers and watch time.
