quest to sub-10 | SUB 20!!

i finished PLL today, not too bad. i also learnt some ez OLL cases and their algs, so now i have that down. i guess the only thing i have to improve upon for this month is F2L.
For F2L, try to do slow solves while being able to find your pairs and turning without pauses (you will have small pauses in your solves). This will be hard at first but once you do it, it will help you improve a lot. Hope this helps

i actually have begun to do that, so i think this is absolutely the best thing to do while practicing F2L right now.

my 3x3 average has improved a lot. sub 23 has been achieved, but i'm getting sub 20 solves often. one thing i've noticed is that once i reach PLL, i kind of slow down just a bit, which leads to a 2-3 second increase. i don't know why this happens, but i'll work on it.

ok i got an INSANELY lucky scramble but i deleted the solve by accident :(. on the other hand, that scramble gave me a 9.5!!!!!!!!!!! SUB 10 SINGLE.

from what i can remember, the yellow cross was pretty much done, and then blue orange pair set up red and blue which setup green and orange and then an ez case with red and green. OLL SKIP into F Perm.

won't count it since i deleted it but still, that was amazing.

If it was a legit scramble, then I would count it even if you don't have the scramble, also how can you delete it by accident?

sub-20 is REALLY close now, i've dropped my ao100 to 21.37 and i am consistently getting high 18s to low 19s with a few low 20s-low 21s in the middle.

edit: i'll attach an ss of my averages:

i've finally gotten a sub 20 ao100. after 2 weeks of revision and relearning, i've done it. although i'm still getting 21s and 20s, they aren't as often as they were, and i mostly get 19s and 18s now. very happy, i bet a few more hours of practice will help me get to pure sub 20. also, i'm relearning pyraminx, and that's also fun. so is skewb, but i'm very slow at it. 4x4 is still aight, still sub 2, and i just don't practice 2x2 anymore but i guess i will. on the flip side, tomorrow i have an exam on the worst subject (2L) and i do not have the will to study 800-ish idioms for the same (they're difficult to remember) so yeah. also, me and a few of my friends who cube in my school were thinking of organizing an unofficial comp. if we do follow through with this plan, i'll keep updating you guys.

i think i've made it to sub 20. after like 3 years of frustration, disappointment and failure, i've done it. this has been one of the hardest challenges in my journey so far, but i think i've done it!!

Amazing, congratulations! Gotta finish OLL now, and learn some F2L algs too. You'll be sub-15 or even sub-10 in no time.

heyo, i'm back, i took a quick break cause of school and the workload. i have a few days before i must go. i'm grinding PLL algorithms and F2L cases just to get down to sub 3 on those. on a side note, i played my very first chess tournament in school and got 2.5/6 (strong opponents but 2 wins and a draw is fine). i guess that's it for now
