New Gan "Halo" Timer

Hello I am here to start a conversation on the new Gan "Halo" Timers.

Please share your opinions on this timer and if you would prefer this timer or the old Gan timer.

(or you can just say how yuxin or speedstack timers are better LOL)

I’ve heard its pretty bad, you have to charge it like a mouse and it looks like a boomerang.

I kinda disagree on this one, If your talking about Yuxin timers i agree, Moyu and QiYi and Dayan arent that bad and I would prefer the first Gan timer than the normal Speedstack timers. The speed is the same, the Gan fimer has a much better layout in my opinion and you can actually choose the colours without buying a skin seperatetly

You should maybe watch a review, its actually very high quality and hopefully soon the WCA will recognise the timer as a “Legal” timer unlike the sped up YuXin Timers..

Yes I realize that. I would agree speedstacks timers are overpriced.

fsr, when it was announced on the Upcoming Puzzles forum, I was blown away by how cool it looked, but after seeing SpeedCubeReview's video on it, the same feeling didn't come back to me.

really? cheapest i can find is 42 usd, as opposed to 32 usd for the g5

Its probably different in different places, for example I'm in Indonesia and the Gan Timer is actually cheaper than the G5 and G4 timers (not combined
