Last night I had an idea of swapping the ball-core and the core magnet pieces (from the corners) from my RS3M V5 Ball-Core UV and transferring that to the RS3M V5. I thought it was a good idea, I might do it today.

Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:
  • Now it’s a MoYu ball-core cube with frosted plastic, so no UV coating. (I had problems with the UV, some pieces chipped off a little bit)
  • My cube has teal internals! (My BC version did, but that was UV coated), except the edges…
  • The cube would be a little lighter without the UV coating (MoYu is like that).
Cons:

  • The cube would become heavier due to the ball-core and core magnets.
  • It might take a lot of time
  • Why do this if you can get the RS3M Super 2022 BC? (It has frosted plastic)
  • I shouldn’t have gotten the pieces in my RS3M V5 BC UV chipped off a little bit, this problem would have never started.

So… What do you think?

If you normally do stuff like this, can you please help me with tips?

I think you can go ahead.

I feel the cons outweigh the pros, so I would not switch if I were to decide.
