Mefferts Pyraminx the tip won't turn with the side

Lubricating the tips doesn't make a big difference. you can try and see if it's the tension the problem. To do this turn the tips 30 degrees then pull as hard as you can on the tips to get them off. The first time would be extremely hard but it comes off easier with time. If this doesn't work make a video of it then show us

Err... obviously the tip is too lubed if it won't turn when the side does. That mean it has little friction rubbing against the corner beneath. I had this problem, but it used some sandpaper to make it a slightly rougher surface, and it stopped happening. Don't sand it too much though ;)
