Magnetising The Valk 3 Power

So I bought the Valk 3 Power recently for a real steal. I decided to magnetise it myself since it would make it a cool project. I found a YouTube tutorial online and managed to follow it pretty well. It was quite straight forward, The magnets were all correctly placed and all, but the issue i got was putting back the individual edge pieces together. Some of the edge pieces, were not going in together. Of course i did not pay attention to the edge pieces in the beginning of which edge piece color goes where.

I started putting the edge pieces together (in the correct order) but 1 or 2 pieces were not fully connecting. There remained a gap between the pieces which i found strange. There are numbers on the inside individual pieces of an edge but that did not help either.

Did any of you have any similar experience? Or did I just do something completely wrong?

There are usually little "fingers" at PO nts along the line of 1/2 an edge piece that "mate" with corresponding holes in the ither 1/2 piece

So you don't necessarily have to get every 1/2 piece back with its original 1/2 mate (tho that helps)
but you have to match say the 4 white 1/2 edge pieces with correctly fitting 1/2 pieces of Blue, Red, Green, and Orange...

It should be fairly simple to take them apart again and reconfigure them correctly so there are no gaps or other issues with the cube✅😎

Yes indeed, even when putting the correct pieces with prongs with the the none prong pieces, i always ended up with 1 edge piece having a very slight gap. And some pieces did have magnet slots and some didn't. First i thought it were the prongs causing not enough space for the other piece but that was not the issue. 🤔
