Hi all! lately I have been Organizing a non-intuitive algorithm set, LSLL.
The idea is to solve last layer while inserting your last F2L pair. I am currently working on a google sheet of these algorithms that should hopefully be done in early may. most of these algorithms consist of PLL+an easy winter variation case. each algorithm is about 16 moves, so not terrible:).they are really easy to learn.
the only downside is the number of algorithms. good luck learning them later this year!

Most WV cases need 7+ moves and most PLLs need 10+ moves, so something doesn't add up here…

Best of luck with your arithmetic-defying endeavours!
Besides, both PLL and WV preserve EO, meaning a PLL+WV alg can only work if all edges are already oriented.

Sorry I should have been more specific as to what algorithms I use. For WV, I reduce the case into the 3 or 4 move alg.
for PLL, I only use U perms, A perms, H perms, and Z perms.

For the non-EO cases, the first half of the alg is doing VHLS (Valk half last slot)
You don’t get to magically not count the moves used to reduce to a case. If you HAVE to reduce it to a case, those moves count!

You should rather do this to demonstrate the useage of that software that automatially generats large alg sets and make a youtube vid about it. forget the name of the software tho

I am confused.

What is the exact difference between VHLS and VLS?

So VHLS->WV->PLL?

1 look last slot + last layer seems like a bit of a stretch, and I can’t imagine it’s actually worth learning since 1-look last slot into 2-look PLL with good recognition / lookahead is probably just better

I honestly agree, but, like 1LLL, some people still learn it. I'm actually thinking of just making the EO Cases, like how ZBLL only has cross solved cases. that reduces the number of cases dramatically.:)

and, btw, the alg order for lsll is:

setup moves->orient pieces (a.k.a. reduce the case)->pll->3 or 4 move wv.

1LLL is already insane, how many people are actually comfortable with full 1LLL? Last slot + last layer would be over 160,000 cases. ZBLL has only cross solved cases because cross is automatically done in ZZ(correct me if I'm wrong).

you're right. I would only make algs for wv cases (because edges are already solved). as i said, that would reduce the cases.

My original plan was to make this an advanced technique, but then I made this:

CFOP/ZZ Method

1. make an x-cross.
2. holding the solved slot in the back left, do EO.
3. solve the FL and BR slot.
4. make the last pair. solve it into the case wher it can be solved by R U' R'.
5. do WLLSLL. (Winter Variation Last Slot Last Layer).
