I'm not amazing at the Rubik's Cube, in fact I'm horrible. My best is like 1:35 or so. I would keep practicing but it kinda got lost one day and school. Had it at lunch and someone I didn't really know started using it, and I walked away to talk to someone, and the bell rang and I forgot about it. I didn't even notice until the next day.

anyway I have never even touched any other cube except the original kind, so I know V-Cube 6 might be hard for me, but I'm giving it a shot.

When should I expect my V-Cube? I heard orders might take 1-2 weeks?

Do I need to lubricate my cube or anything like that, or is it already made for speed solving?

I also have small hands, so it's gonna be hard to speed solve this. Anyone else that has one that has anything to say about the difference in size? Does it make it hard if you have small hands?

Just wondering what you all have to say about it. I paid more than I should have for it, so I hope I'm getting my moneys worth.

It is by no means already meant for speed solving.

I have 2 v6, since one broke after a mod.

Youre going to have to mod it and thoroughly lube and break it in for a few solves before it is remotely meant for speedsolving.

You will also need a LOT of dexterity or you will be popping with every solve.

You should do denes mod, as well as mymyselfandpis mod.
You DONT have to include the pins, i dont, and i solve sub 4.

If you do both of these mods, you will have a semi-stable cube.

EDIT: This will take HOURS, BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE PIECES. It is worth it for a cube that will be stable enough to speedsolve. Also, be very careful with the pieces there are over 200, losing one means waiting for a replacement part for 2 euros. I had to order a 7x7 piece from verdes, Excellent service.
I literally went from sub 6 to sub 5 by modding.

I don't think it's necessary to make any modifications on the V-Cube for someone who needs 1:35 for a 3x3x3 Cube. This means even with a beginner solution which needs more than 100 moves you have an average turn speed of not more than 1 or 2 moves per second.

I'm also not the fastest solver (but meanwhile I solve the 3x3x3 cube in less than 30 seconds sometimes) and I didn't mod or even lube my V-Cube 6. The first tries (when I needed more than 20 minutes to solve) I never had problems with pops, I think this was because of my slow turn speed. Now with some practise I get faster and solve it most times in sub 10, today I solved even sub 8 minutes, and with an increased turn speed I have pops more often, but they are still no big problem for me.

Is the V6 more prone to popping than the V7 or V5? I have the V7. I was thinking of getting the V5 because I hear it might be the best 5x5 out there. I would get the full set (V5,6,7), because I wouldn't mind having a spare V7 with the V5, but I am worried about the stability of the V6. Is the V6 worth it? I don't think I want to modify it -- I won't be doing the V6 for speed.
