The Tornado is amazing, ootb. It's very fast. As I have not adjusted nor lubed it yet, the corner cutting is not as good as the RS3M super (Maglev).
Despite "abuse", with fast turning, it doesn't pop nor corner twist, which I experience with the RS3M occasionally (set loose) - as a light turner, I like fast and loose cube.
Which do I prefer? Tornado at the moment. Huameng should be here by Monday ;)

This is my second magnetic (and stickerless) cube.

Because of the Tornado, I just tighten the RS3M more. No more pops nor twist, but it needs more force to turn.

At the end of the day, I believe the preference is entirely up to the individual, based on turning style, and cuber's preference for feel.

And yeah, the Tornado is a tad smaller at 55mm (vs 56mm). Don't really feel the difference though.

And it's much more quieter than the RS3M (which has quite a loud magnetic click), and the Tornado magnets appear to be stronger (maybe due to its corner magnets?)

Lubed with 50k and 350cts shock oil. More controllable now.
The RS3M is a great budget cube (SGD15, including shipping). The Tornado is SGD41. The incoming Huameng is SGD25. Likely huameng will be my last buy - am just a hobbyist.

Got delivery of the huameng ball core version today. It's better than the RS3M maglev - ootb it is loose yet doesn't pop nor corner twist. Same size as the Tornado. Unfortunately the YS3M has that slippery matte finish. I dropped it in one of my solves.
It has stronger magnets than the RS3M. Definitely a better choice.
Like the Tornado, it turns great without lube, but both are uncontrollable without lube, for fast turning.
The Tornado is pretty quiet. The YS3M has this clackaty-clack sound. Overall the Tornado oozes more quality than the YS3M.

Both the Tornado or YS3M gave me similar times...

My personal preference:
Tornado>YS3M>RS3M.
But the Tornado doesn't really beat the YS3M by a wide margin, especially if you factor in the price difference.

By the way, the acrylic box that came with the YS3M - is a puzzle by itself (sarcasm). You need to solve the problem of how to open it.

Would you recommend me getting the ys3m UV ball core when its out in late March? I have the tornado v3 pioneer and it's my old main. I am now maining the Moretry Tianma x3 v3. I think the UV ys3m can be gd for OH as well since it is actually a touch smaller. I tried the ball core ys3m in comp lately, and I like it more than my pioneer as its more stable while remaining fast, and this is gd for OH as well. However, as I only had chance to do a couple solves on it but not fully setting it up to my liking, I still prefer my well setup moretry (but it's so hard to setup). Not saying which is better than which, as all these are top 3x3s but the ball core ys3m feels like it has potential to be my main. the only thing is that we are not sure abt how grippy the moyu UV cubes are, and whether should I wait for the UV.

Just found out (the cubicle) that qiyi has released the Tornado cores, flagship and pioneer. Can't seem to find any on Asian online stores. Will wait for the local pricing before deciding whether to get the flagship core or the full flagship cube.

Honest opinion:
Can't really advise on the UV as I myself have not tried it. My YS3M ballcore is fantastic. As I am cubing a lot in my office, I can only use the Tornado which is sufficiently quiet. I spend around 30 minute to an hour on the YS3M in the evening.
Both have different feel and I like both equally. I can live with one or the other.
I was surprised that the YS3M was already fantastic ootb. I am currently using it without any setup or lube. The only complaint I have is that, ootb, it is quite slippery. Likely to go away with frequent use. I cannot imagine OH with it. ;)

Am liking the "h1" more and more.
The grip problem has largely disappeared with more solves. Again, it's a matter of preference, liking the feel of h1 over the "X". And I have the h1 on default setting, without lube.

Both, side by side.

I think I will just order the ys3m ball core right away with some polish, as I need that not only for the ys3m but also meilong 345s and weilong skewb. Also I don’t really want to wait for a month just for the coating.

Found out that the Tornado can actually cut almost line to line.
I increased the compression (outer ring) to 4, and reduced the tension (inner ring) to 2. There are 2 side effects though:
a. Turning feels a bit different from the default 3-3
b. The magnet strength seems to be more effective, dragging my turning a bit more.

The RS3M super maglev: the magnet strength appears a bit more effective when I tighten the axis distance (7) and loosen the tension (screws).

Line to line u mean reverse?
Have u tried to adjust the magnets strength on the tornado v3?

Not reverse. Apology if my terminology is incorrect.
Magnets on corner pieces on default. Still feeling my way around the Tornado. A really good cube, on just about any setting so far.

In my opinion, The Flagship edition is the sweet spot when it comes to the Tornado V3 Lineup. But, not judging your opinion!
yea i got the pioneer and I'm kind of regretting it its really fast so I have to put loads of slowing down lubes in it and put both of the settings to 5 which makes the corner cutting really rubbish so I will probably stick to like my rs3m or my gan xs
