Is Roux still competitively viable?

Roux isn’t used as much anymore (to my knowledge) and the rise of ZB seems to be the future of the sport. How fast could roux theoretically be? I work out that an average of ~45 moves per solve with around 12 tps would equate to 3.75, but pauses still exist.
Let me know your thoughts on how fast it could be
